嘉宾介绍

Chao Huang is an Assistant Professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Director of the Human oriented Intelligent Systems Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wollongong, Australia, in 2018. From October 2019 to August 2021, he worked as a research fellow at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and from October 2018 to September 2019, he was a project researcher at the National Institute of Informatics (NII) in Japan. His main research focuses on human-machine co-driving and fault-tolerant chassis control. As a principal investigator, he has led several major research projects, including those funded by the Smart Traffic Fund of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. He serves as an associate editor, editorial board member, and guest editor for over 10 SCI journals, including IEEE TIV, TTE, and EAAI. He has also been invited to serve as chair and co-chair for several conferences, such as IEEE ITEC, IEEE ITSC, and IEEE-CAA CVCI.

Autonomous driving technology and human-machine collaboration hold significant research value for smart transportation. This report will focus on a single unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), with an emphasis on path planning, trajectory design, and multi-UAV collaboration, introducing innovative algorithms and experimental results. Additionally, it will cover the integration of UAVs with public transportation systems, including applications such as parcel delivery and data collection. The report will further explore human-machine cooperative driving and fully autonomous driving for ground vehicles, analyzing the latest advances in shared control systems, path planning, and decision-making. By showcasing cutting-edge research on UAVs and intelligent transportation systems, this report aims to provide innovative ideas for the future of transportation, enhancing user experience and productivity.
